What you may notice
No panel power
MCB/overload trips
Contactor does not hold
Display or controller error
Sensor reading appears wrong
Temperature control is unstable
What you can record safely before service
- Note which indicator or display is on/off.
- Record the exact trip/error message.
- Check only external supply conditions that are safe to observe.
- Do not open or test a live panel without proper competence and equipment.
Electrical bypasses, live-panel work and reaching into moving or jammed equipment can create serious risk.
What typically needs deeper checking
Common fault categories
What this service typically covers
Diagnosis of MCB/MCCB/overload trips, contactor/relay faults and control-circuit failures.
PLC, timer, PID/temperature controller, sensor and interlock troubleshooting where fitted.
Wiring, terminal, supply and phase-condition checks by competent personnel.
Control-side diagnosis before replacing motors, heaters or other loads unnecessarily.
Do not wait for a complete shutdown
- The panel is dead, resets, trips or shows an unexplained error.
- The machine starts intermittently or one function works while another does not.
- Temperature/heater operation is unstable or a sensor reading appears abnormal.
- There is burning smell, heat damage, discoloured wiring or repeated protection trips.
Quick answers before you book a repair
Why is my OWC panel on but the machine not running?
The fault may be in the start/control circuit, interlocks, contactor/relay, protection, motor/load side or a mechanical jam. Panel power alone does not prove the drive circuit is healthy.
Can an OWC PLC or sensor be bypassed temporarily?
Bypassing safety or control devices can create equipment and injury risk and may hide the actual fault. The cause should be diagnosed rather than defeated.
Does every compost machine use a PLC?
No. Some machines use relay/timer/PID controls, while others use PLC-based logic. Repair should follow the actual panel architecture and component ratings.
